Visakhapatnam: A group of unidentified persons broke into the Madhava Swami temple and fled with 60 gram of gold ornaments and around two kilogram of silver. The incident occurred at Madhavadhara locality under Kancharapalem police station limits in Vizag city on Monday night. However, it came to light on Tuesday morning when the priests reached the temple and found the doors were broken.
After checking the temple premises, they reported that the gold jewellery and silver crown were missing from the temple.
Based on a complaint, the cops led by DCP (crime wing) P Venkata Ratnam visited the temple. The cops said that the burglars had entered inside the temple by breaking the locks of doors.
