Here are the top five moments from WWE RAW September 23, 2024

1) Jey Uso defeats Bron Breakker to become Intercontinental Champion

Jey Uso took on Bron Breakker in the main event of tonight’s Monday Night Raw. Breaker put his title on the line and dominated the fight in such a way that it seemed like victory was all but assured. However, Bron got a little too arrogant because of his dominant run against Jey and this ended up costing him the match.
Breakker attempted to hit a super spear on Uso who was already on his last legs, however, the build up gave Jey time to recover, and he caught Bron with a superkick. Uso followed this up with a spear and then a splash to end the night and claim his first ever singles title in WWE. Hopefully, there’ll be more to come in the future.

2) Rhea Ripley interrupts Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s victory lap

Liv Morgan and Dom took the stage early in the show and started doing a victory lap around the ring. They were happy with how good things were for Judgement Day and celebrated the progress of their revenge tour. According to Liv and Dom everything has gone according to plan.
However, their celebrations were cut short when Rhea Ripley came out and interrupted them. Rhea told them that she had two announcements to make, first she told Liv that her knee has been cleared, and she is now free to compete at Bad Blood 2024.
Her second announcement was that Dominik Mysterio would not be allowed to interfere at Bad Blood because he’ll be on top of the ring in a shark cage. Rhea’s announcement drained the color from the faces of Liv and Dom and that alone makes it one of the best moments from tonight.

3) Drew McIntyre replies to CM Punk

Drew McIntyre took the stage tonight and replied to the warning sent out by CM Punk on last week’s episode. Following in the footsteps of his rival, Drew promised to punish Punk and mentioned that he plans on making him bleed a lot. Also worth noting is that the families of both men want them to stay away from Hell in a Cell.
But Punk and McIntyre have both stated that they plan on punishing each other like they’ve never done before. McIntyre’s promo tonight was the perfect response to the great work done by CM Punk last week. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of brutality these two have in store for each other at Bad Blood 2024.

4) Braun Strowman returns to attack Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed was supposed to take on The Miz on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. Unfortunately, the fight never came to be, as Braun Strowman made an appearance and started to attack Reed. As they always do, things got out of hand and referees, and security, had to get involved to separate these two big men from each other.
Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed is one of the best rivalries in WWE right now. These two have been after each other’s lives for a few weeks now, and it is always a good segment when we get to see Braun and Bronson try and destroy each other.

5) Sami Zayn vs. Ludwig Kaiser

Sami Zayn took on Gunther’s right-hand man, Ludwig Kaiser, for the first match of Monday Night Raw. Kaiser was surprisingly tough and seemed like he had the upper hand on Zayn throughout most of the fight. Now, Zayn is the former Intercontinental Champion, so it’s not easy to gain the upper hand on him.
However, Kaiser fought a great match, but he didn’t have enough to keep up with Zayn’s incredible resilience. In the end, Sami landed a Helluva kick to close out the match. Gunther came out after the match and teased Zayn with a shot at the title before ultimately pulling away. While Gunther’s segment was entertaining, it has to be said that Sami and Ludwig’s fight was one of the best of the night.
