Donald Trump Jr's fiancee Kimberly Guilfoyle has accused vice president
Kamala Harris of denying her a job more than two decades ago around 2000. Both of them were young lawyers and and rising in politics. Kamala Harris was an assistant district attorney in San Francisco. Kimberly Guilfoyle was in discussion to join the office but Harris attempted to stop that. According to a New York Times report, Guilfoyle said that Harris called her to suggest there was no job for her.
“She pretended to be a member of the hiring committee, which didn’t exist," Guilfoyle who is now a key member of the Trump campaign and calls Donald Trump her father-in-law said. Despite Kamala Harris' attempt Guilfoyle was hired and Kamala Harris denied any role and said her phone call was to offer help.
Guilfoyle has not forgotten the episode and often says at public events how long she has known Kamala Harris. "I know her for 25 years, and let me tell you something: Do whatever it takes to keep her out of the White House," Guilfoyle said at a recent Republican dinner at Florida.
Those who know both of them say Kamala (59) and Guilfoyle (55) never got along.
About the phone call, Guilfoyle said Kamala Harris was threatened at the prospect of her joining the office. "Most things in life make sense — jealousy, envy.” Guilfoyle said she immediately informed the others in the office about Kamala Harris's phone call and her claim that she had the budgetary authority in the office and no spot for her. "They were furious," Guilfoyle said. Harris' boss then-district attorney Terence Hallinan who died in 2020 said Kamala Harris was against the hiring of Guilfoyle but he brought her anyway. But Harris and Guilfoyle was not colleagues for long as Kamala Harris left the office.
Kimberly was recently in news over speculations that her relationship with Donald Trump Jr might have run into troubles and Trump scion was seen canoodling with Bettina Anderson. But as it turned out, Trump Jr and Guilfoyle are going strong and his proximity with Bettina is probably just a casual dalliance.
