Former
WWE promoter
Vince McMahon has decided to distance himself from Netflix’s upcoming documentary titled “Mr. McMahon”. Vince, who himself sat down for over 200 hours of interviews for this project, is not impressed by an early, impartial cut he saw earlier this week. He believes that a lot of the stuff being said in the series has been misinterpreted and some has been left out in an effort to intentionally confuse the viewers.
However, Vince does not regret his participation in the making of Mr.
McMahon. He believes that the story of his life and the WWE is filled with excitement, drama, fun and a good amount of controversy. But, he still holds the notion that the
Mr. McMahon series should’ve portrayed him in a better light. Here’s what else Vince had to say about the upcoming documentary:
“Unfortunately, based on an early partial cut I’ve seen, this doc falls short and takes the predictable path of conflating the ‘Mr. McMahon’ character with my true self, Vince.”

"Vince was shockingly very sweet and nice": Former WWE female star comments on her relationship with Vince McMahonVince dismisses Janel Grant’s lawsuit by saying they had an affair
Towards the end of his statement, Vince mentioned that the producers have used Janel Grant’s lawsuit, which he claims is based on an affair, as evidence of him being the evil “Mr. McMahon”. Grant’s lawsuit involves physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking. Understandably, Grant’s lawyer was not happy about McMahon’s statement and released her own, stating that Vince’s characterization of their relationship is “delusional”.
The Mr. McMahon Netflix documentary releases this week and has interviews from WWE stars like Cody Rhodes, John Cena, The Rock, Hulk Hogan and many more. It aims to provide an insight to the business and Vince’s influence on it throughout the years. However, it also delves deep and provides multiple POVs on the many controversies surrounding Vince and the WWE, including Janel Grant’s lawsuit.
Vince believes that the producers have used footage to support a deceptive narrative against him. He hopes that viewers will keep an open mind and remember that there are two sides to every story.
