GOP senator Lindsey Graham said the charges against North Carolina Lt Gov Mark Robinson are beyond unnerving but if they are untrue, then he has the best lawsuit in the history of the country for libel. Mark Robinson reportedly made statements on a porn site referring to himself as a "black Nazi". Other salacious comments reportedly from him were how she got sexually aroused from memories of "peeping" on women in public showers as a teenager, "slavery is not bad" etc.
The posts were deleted from the site after CNN reported about them.
Mark Robinson denied making those comments ever and said he will be staying in the race and won't quit because of tabloid trash.
"If they are true, he's unfit to serve for office," Graham said about the most raging controversy the GOP is facing after Laura Loomer.
“If I were him, I would hire me the best lawyer I could find. I’d sue the hell out of CNN,” Graham added, also saying that Robinson “has an obligation to defend himself” because “this is hanging over his campaign.”
North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, the Democrat running for governor against Robinson, blasted former President Donald Trump and said Robinson exists because Donald Trump has lifted him up.
“Mark Robinson could not exist without the support of Donald Trump,” Stein said
Prominent Republicans in North Carolina asked Robinson to prove he wasn't behind the posts revealing the infaction the GOP is facing now. “The comments reported in the article are disgusting,” Senator Ted Budd said. “Mark Robinson says they are not from him. He needs to prove that to the voters.” Robinson’s campaign on Thursday also denied that he had created an account on Ashley Madison, a website for married people seeking affairs. The spokesperson said Robinson’s email address had been compromised in multiple data breaches.
