Kangana Ranaut has urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to speed up the release process of her political drama Emergency, as the delay is causing financial losses for her and the other producers. Earlier, Kangana also revealed that she had to sell her property in Mumbai after the film's release was postponed due to a delay in obtaining the censor certificate.

The Bombay High Court has denied immediate relief for the Kangana Ranaut-starrer 'Emergency,' referencing an order from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The Central Board of Film Certification is instructed to review objections from Sikh groups and reach a decision by September 18. Consequently, the film's release is postponed until further notice.

She expressed frustration stating, “The way I have made the film, I got no support from the film industry. I am the producer of the film along with other partners. A delayed release is a loss for all. I think the censor board should take the responsibility to release this film at the earliest.”

After BJP distanced itself from Kangana Ranaut's remarks on the repealed farm laws, she clarified that her views were personal. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia emphasized that she was not authorized to speak for the party. Opposition parties criticised her statements and called for Prime Minister Modi to take action. Sharing Kangana's video on X, Congress said "these black laws will (never be brought back now)... no matter how hard Modi and his MPs try".
