Ahmedabad: Three Ahmedabad candidates have finished in top 50 nationally in CA final exams, results of which were declared on Thursday. In the intermediate results declared, one candidate from the city has secured 39th rank nationwide.
Aksha Memon secured the all-India rank (AIR) 7, Shubham Makhija AIR was 36th and Dhruvang Shah was 39th. In the intermediates, Het Panchal secured AIR 39.
Of the 35,819 students from Gujarat taking exams in both groups, 7,122 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 19.88%.
In Group 1, 74,887 students appeared nationwide while 20,479 passed. The overall pass percentage for this group was 27.35%. In Group 2, 21,408 of the 58,891 candidates cleared the exam, giving the group an overall pass percentage of 36.35%.
A total of 59,956 candidates took the intermediate exam for both groups nationwide, out of which 11,041 passed, giving an overall pass percentage of 18.42%. Of the 1.17 lakh candidates, 27.15% or 31,978 cleared Group 1. Of the 71,145 candidates in Group 2, 18.28% or 13,008 cleared the group.
From Ahmedabad branch, 55 candidates took coaching and appeared for both group exams together. Of these, four passed. In the previous examination held in Nov, 32 students had taken both groups together, out of which four had passed.
