TIRUPATI: The TDP camp is in high spirits following the Prime Minister's recognition of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy's efforts towards the progress of Simhapuri.
In a letter addressed to Vemireddy, who is also the TDP candidate for the Nellore parliament in the upcoming elections, Narendra Modi recalled that as a Rajya Sabha MP, Vemireddy always fought for voicing the aspirations of the Nelloreans in the parliament.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Vemireddy's contributions during various debates on matters related to healthcare, handicrafts promotion, connectivity, and infrastructure assisted the central government in developing suitable policies that align with the people's aspirations.
"Being the NDA nominee to be contesting from the Nellore parliament this time, your victory is essential for the constituency to be brought back on to the path of development in the next five years", the Prime minister told Vemireddy.
Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for recognizing his achievements, Vemireddy pointed out that Nellore, like the rest of the state, was entirely deprived of development during the YSRCP regime.
"The ruling party unleashed a sense of fear among the people in the last five years. The exodus of industries, lack of new investments, bad roads and poor infrastructure, became major issues, which remained unaddressed", Vemireddy lamented.
The TDP candidate expressed confidence that the NDA's double engine governments will come to power in the state and at the center, and Nellore will once again become the focal point of development in the next five years.
