Cross-border drug smuggler caught with 4.5kg heroin

AMRITSAR: Police here claim to have busted a trans-border drug smuggling network with the arrest of a woman, Kanwaljit Kaur 'Massi', and seized about 4.5 kilograms of heroin from her.
Police commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon told the media persons on Tuesday here that Massi, who was from Golden Avenue of Chheharta's Hargobindpura area, and her son-in-law, Jugraj Singh, were in contact with Pakistan-based drug smugglers and had collected their drone-supplied drug consignments.
He claimed that at team le by deputy commissioner of police (investigations ) Harpreet Singh Mander, additional DCP (City-2) Abhimanyu Rana, and ACP West Swaranjit Singh had laid the trap for Massi had retrieved one of those drug consignments from her after arresting her from her rented house in Golden Avenue.
Another team arrested Dande's villagersVishal Kumar, Naresh Kumar, and Gurpreet Singh and claimed to have seized a .30-bore pistol, some ammunition, and a locally made pistol along with a getaway car from them.
