Cross-border drug smuggler caught with 4.5kg heroin

Amritsar police have dismantled a trans-border drug smuggling network by arresting Kanwaljit Kaur 'Massi' and seizing 4.5 kilograms of heroin. Massi and her son-in-law were connected to Pakistan-based smugglers who used drones for deliveries. Additional arrests included Vishal Kumar, Naresh Kumar, and Gurpreet Singh, along with weapons and a getaway car.

AMRITSAR: Police here claim to have busted a trans-border drug smuggling network with the arrest of a woman, Kanwaljit Kaur 'Massi', and seized about 4.5 kilograms of heroin from her.
Police commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon told the media persons on Tuesday here that Massi, who was from Golden Avenue of Chheharta's Hargobindpura area, and her son-in-law, Jugraj Singh, were in contact with Pakistan-based drug smugglers and had collected their drone-supplied drug consignments.
