Chief medical officer Dr. Alok Kumar said, "The health department has deployed two mobile medical units (MMUs) in the waterlogged villages, each equipped with a medical officer, a pharmacist, and a lab technician. The MMUs have an adequate stock of medicines to treat sick or infected villagers on the spot."
He added, "The MMUs are also providing on-the-spot pathological tests before prescribing medicines to patients. We have constituted 36 medical teams to facilitate proper diagnosis and medical treatment for villagers in flood-affected areas, right at their doorsteps."
ANM Jitendra Kaur has been recognised by the health department on several occasions for her dedicated service in remote villages such as Chandia Hajara, Rahul Nagar, Colony Number 6, and Khirkiya Bargadia.
Notably, over 60 villages recently experienced severe flooding from the Sharda River. More than a dozen villages in the Puranpur and Kalinagar tehsil areas remain waterlogged.
