Ensure CCTVs in exam halls, strongrooms: CHSE to schools
Bhubaneswar: Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has directed all principals of higher secondary schools across the state to ensure CCTV surveillance in exam halls and strongrooms for the Class XII board examination to be held on Feb 15, 2025. The school authorities have been directed to comply with the CHSE guidelines by Nov 15.
“It is mandatory on the part of all higher secondary schools affiliated to CHSE Odisha to record proceedings of strong rooms of examination halls, centre superintendent’s office, examination halls/rooms and all laboratories (in case of self-financing higher secondary schools) on CCTV cameras,” read the letter from CHSE’s controller of examinations, Prasanta Kumar Parida.

Officials of CHSE, school and mass education department and district collectorates will monitor the activities at examination centres and live-streaming of CCTV footage, the letter added.
Failure to install CCTV surveillance systems and complying with the CHSE guidelines by the Nov 15 deadline may lead to cancellation of examination centres. Over 3 lakh students are likely to appear for the Class XII exam.
