Chandigarh: As part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative of the Centre, a tree plantation campaign was organised by the department of urban planning here with the assistance of the horticulture wing. To promote environmental sustainability and further enhance the green cover of the city, trees of around five-six varieties were planted at Leisure Valley, Sector 10, by the chief architect along with the officers and staff of the department.
