Babush refutes Sardesai's claims, says produce concrete proof
Panaji: Revenue minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate on Tuesday refuted the accusations made by GFP chief Vijai Sardesai about the “cash-for-jobs scam” in the recruitment process for lower division clerks at the South Goa collectorate. Monserrate challenged Sardesai to provide proof to support his allegations.
“Vijai is a good friend of mine. I have been in politics for over two decades and such things have never happened,” Monserrate told TOI.

“Ninety-two posts were advertised. Let anyone produce proof that even one person was approached or money was taken in exchange for any post. Or are the allegations being made just because someone’s name has not figured in the list?”
The revenue minister said he does not interfere in the recruitment process, and added that he is committed to ensuring transparency and integrity in the operations of his department, including recruitment procedures.
