Singareni staff to get 1.9 lakh Dasara bonus

Hyderabad: Ahead of Dasara festivities, the Congress govt has announced a bonus of Rs 1.9 lakh to each of the 41,835 permanent employees of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). Additionally, for the first time, a bonus of Rs 5,000 each will also be given to the 25,000 contract employees of the company.
The announcement was made by chief minister A Revanth Reddy and deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka along with cabinet ministers and senior officers at the secretariat just before the start of the cabinet meeting.
Lauding the role of Singareni employees in Telangana statehood movement, Revanth said: "By sharing Singareni's profits after tax deduction with the workers and their families, which will be given before Dasara in October, we aim to share joy and prosperity with them."
Singareni workers have also been at the forefront of the state-building process, he said. This bonus is being announced on the basis of the production and profits of the Singareni company in 2023-24 fiscal, the CM said.
