CBN seizes over 35kg drugs in Gujarat

Indore: Based on specific intelligence, a joint preventive team of officers from Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Neemuch and CBN Delhi intercepted a car along with its occupants under the bridge situated at Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar Highway in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The team recovered 2,73,500 psychotropic tablets weighing 34.2345 kg on Thursday.
In a subsequent follow-up operation on Friday, 14,000 tabs of Nitrazepam weighing 2.415 kg, 3,750 tabs of Alprazolam weighing 450.750 grams and 40 injections of Tramadol were seized from a house in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.One suspect was apprehended under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985.
Further investigation is under progress.
