Indore: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Thursday issued a challan against two persons for dumping construction and demolition (C&D) waste in the open before lodging an FIR against them for allegedly misbehaving with civic officials.
“Under the direction of commissioner Shivam Verma, continuous efforts are being made to remove illegally dumped C&D waste,” IMC additional commissioner Siddhartha Jain said.
He added that today, action was taken against one Govind Gupta and Anand Gupta for dumping debris near Rajlakshmi Paradise on Pragati Nagar Service Road. Subsequent to the challan action, both individuals went to Zonal Office No. 21 and misbehaved with the municipal corporation staff, threatening them. “Upon being informed about this incident, commissioner directed staff to file an FIR against the accused. The zonal staff accordingly filed a complaint at the police station and submitted the video recording of incident as evidence,” he said. TNN
