Bike rally held to raise voter awareness in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda ahead of assembly elections

NEW DELHI: A bike rally took place on Sunday in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, to promote voter awareness ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
The event was part of the Mega Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) festival, organized across the district.
Doda District Magistrate Harvinder Singh noted, "Mega Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) festival is being organised across various areas in the district for the elections on September 18.

We all participated in the bike rally. Nukkad nataks and other events by school children are also being organised under SVEEP to spread voter awareness among people so that more and more people cast votes on September 18."
Singh assured that all arrangements for the elections are in place, aiming for a fair and smooth voting process. He added, "We have been working on all arrangements for the elections and I am happy to say that we are succeeding in them. The whole election process will be a fair and smooth process, and we will keep in mind the suggestions of the people as well."
In Srinagar, a voter awareness program under SVEEP was held at Pratap Park on September 15. Sapna Kotwal, media nodal officer for SVEEP, explained the program's purpose: "The purpose of the program is to make the people aware of the importance of voting and give them necessary information regarding voting."
Kotwal further stated that district election officers are conducting these activities across Jammu and Kashmir as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. She mentioned, "If any voter faces problems regarding voting, they can call in 950 toll-free number."
Earlier, a SVEEP campaign was also organized at the Jhelum Riverfront in Srinagar. The event saw participation from students who demonstrated the voting process to the public and used creative methods such as art and posters to highlight the significance of voting.
