Muda scam: MP Yaduveer demands CM’s resignation
Mysuru: Mysuru MP Yaduveer KC Wadiyar, on Saturday, demanded chief minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation in light of the allegations against him.
Yaduveer stated that the governor, who holds a constitutional post, acted correctly and per the law by issuing permission to prosecute the CM. He emphasised that the CM should face an investigation for his alleged misuse of power in the Muda scam.

Yaduveer added that the CM can continue in his post if the charges are not proven against him.
“As opposition parties, we, BJP and JD(S) are doing right, exposing the corruption, and scams of govt and striving to ensure good governance. BJP will continue to fight against the Congress govt legally,” he stated.
Meanwhile, former MP Pratap Simmha expressed his support for the governor’s decision to permit prosecutions against the CM regarding alleged irregularities in Muda. Simmha revealed that he had previously urged the CM to return alternative sites obtained by his wife to a single-judge inquiry commission and face the allegations, but the CM refused to consider such suggestions from experts.
Simha criticised the Congress for levelling accusations, corruption charges, and scams against the previous BJP govt and then coming to power by promising to investigate BJP’s alleged misrule and corruption. However, he pointed out that CM Siddaramaiah did not order any investigation against the previous BJP govt after assuming power.

Simmha suggested that political bigwigs from both parties have ‘political adjustments’ to continue in power and expressed hope that the governor’s move against the CM would put an end to adjustment politics in Karnataka.
Simmha drew comparisons to former CM BS Yediyurappa and LK Advani, who faced prosecution and tendered their resignations, and suggested that the CM should do the same.
Mentioning the case of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is still governing Delhi from jail, Simmha wondered what political steps the CM Siddaramaiah would take next, whether he would resign and rule the state from jail like Kejriwal.
