Yogi Adityanath conducted a thorough inspection of various ongoing development projects till late on Saturday.
The CM visited the Central Jail campus in Shivpur area to assess the progress of the construction of housing units for prison department officers and barracks for inmates.
Sharing details of the projects with the CM, officials concerned said the structural work of 48 housing units across eight blocks at the Central Jail has been completed. The finishing work, including plumbing, painting, and coating, is currently underway. Furthermore, barracks with a capacity to accommodate 270 prisoners out of the envisioned 450 have been finalized and handed over, while the remaining construction is in progress and will be transferred to the jail administration soon. Subsequently, Yogi also inspected the under-construction rail over bridge (ROB) in Kazzakpura. He instructed the authorities to make concerted efforts to expedite the project on war-footing. tnn
