CORONAVIRUS IN BANGALORE

There are 26 confirmed coronavirus cases in Karnataka as of March 23. A software engineer who returned to Bengaluru from the US on March 1 tested positive for the coronavirus on March 9, becoming the first COVID-19 patient in Karnataka. His wife and daughter too tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, March 10. Another person, who had travelled from America via London and arrived at Bengaluru on March 8, also tested positive. The country's first coronavirus death was reported from Kalaburagi in Karnataka on March 12. So far 4 deaths have been reported in India due to COVID19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation on March 19, called for 'Janata curfew' on March 22 from 7AM to 9PM to contain the spread of coronavirus.
