CORONAVIRUS IN INDIA

The coronavirus outbreak that has wracked havoc all across the globe was first reported in India on January 30, 2020, after a student who had returned from Wuhan University to Kerala was tested positive of Covid-19. More positive cases of coronavirus started coming up from March first week onwards. Most of the coronavirus cases reported in India are from those individuals who have a travel history to Covid-19 impacted countries like China, Dubai, Iran, and Italy, and the persons who came in close contact with these foreign returns. Maharashtra has reported the highest number of confirmed Covid-19 cases followed by Gujarat and Delhi. As a precautionary measure to control the spread of coronavirus infection, the Central govt ordered phased lockdown across the country starting from March 25 onwards. Phase 3 of lockdown in India is valid till May 17, 2002.
