NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old man, identified as Abhishek, was arrested for stabbing his colleague and her parents in west Delhi, after the victim stopped communicating with him, according to officials on Sunday.
The woman and her parents are currently in stable condition, a senior officer told news agency PTI.
The Khyala police station received a call around 9 am on Saturday, reporting a stabbing incident in the Raghubir Nagar area, after which a police team was immediately dispatched to the location, the officer said.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Abhishek visited the victim's residence and stabbed her and when her parents attempted to intervene, he attacked them as well, the officer added.
Abhishek, a resident of the Rajouri Garden area, was a colleague of the victim at a local salon and had a friendly relationship with her.
However, he became irritated when the victim began avoiding him in recent months, the officer continued.
The accused has been charged with attempt to murder, and a case has been registered against him, the officer added.
