Jimmy Fallon is expressing his gratitude to fans as he celebrates a major milestone—his 50th birthday. On Sept. 19, The Tonight Show host took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank his supporters for their unwavering encouragement over the years.
Alongside a throwback photo of himself as a child, donning a birthday cone hat and opening presents, Fallon shared, "Today I am turning 50 years old.
I just want to say thank you for giving me this great life. I’m very lucky." He went on to express his appreciation for all the applause, laughter, and support he’s received throughout his career, whether during his shows, while walking down the street, or even at unexpected moments like a basketball game in France or being lost in a Bavarian field.
"I feel the love, and I love you back. Thank you for always supporting any new idea I have. You believing in me makes me believe in me." Fallon also noted that he recently donated to several food organizations, including Feeding America, Long Island Cares, and Bridgehampton Food Pantry, as a way to give back. He ended his message with a birthday wish for everyone to have a wonderful year ahead, adding the hashtag #FallonIs50.
In addition to celebrating his birthday, Fallon is currently in the running for TV Hosts poll. During the Sept. 18 episode of The Tonight Show, Fallon humorously encouraged his fellow nominees—Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez, and Mark Consuelos—to drop out of the competition, joking that they should let “grandpa” have this one.
