SS Rajamouli to kick off Mahesh Babu's 'SSMB29' with VFX sequences

Superstar Mahesh Babu and the ace director SS Rajamouli are working on a grand film together tentatively called, 'SSMB29'. The movie marks their first collaboration and the makers have been keeping the details about the details under wraps.
With the film touted to be a jungle adventure action drama, significant VFX and graphics are expected to be used in the film.According to a report by 123Telugu, there is speculation that Rajamouli has decided to shoot the VFX of the film first and later shoot the rest of the scenes. The 'RRR' director is known for the use of high end technologies and visuals seen in his previous projects like 'RRR', 'Baahubali', 'Eega' and other films. So it would be crystal clear that the filmmaker will leave no stone unturned putting in the maximum effort for a top-notch cinematic experience. Additionally, Rajamouli has joined hands with a few Hollywood studios for visuals. The idea behind the VFX-based action sequences to be shot first is so that the makers can work on its post-production work simultaneously while working on the other scenes.

Furthermore, it is also said that Rajamouli has locked the cast of the film, though they haven't officially announced it yet. However, media reports suggest that 'Salaar' starring Prithviraj Sukumar will be playing the primary antagonist.
This venture is said to be the biggest film Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu have ever worked on. The film's budget is said to be Rs 1000 crore, where Mahesh Babu would not take his acting fee and would join as co-producing the film.
A lot of time is being given to the film's pre-production phase as they are working to build the foundation of the film solid. The shooting is expected to be on floors soon. Rajamouli is known for taking his time in producing and releasing his films, it is expected that the film will be released during 2027.
