Watch: Israel shows how Hezbollah uses civilian homes to store missiles, rockets
Israel's defence forces on Tuesday released a video showing how Hezbollah militants are allegedly using civilian homes in Lebanon as weapons storage facilities, and employing Lebanese civilians as human shields to shield their military operations.
In a video statement, IDF chief Daniel Hagari explained that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued warnings to residents in specific areas of southern Lebanon, urging them to evacuate to minimize civilian harm, as Hezbollah had established a heavy military presence within their villages.

However, he stressed that Hezbollah deliberately countered these efforts, confining civilians to stay in their homes.

"This is part of Hezbollah's strategy of using civilians as human shields for its terrorist activities," Hagari stated. "Today, we exposed how they store deadly weapons in civilian homes, endangering innocent lives."
Accompanying the video, the IDF released images of Hezbollah's weaponry, including a long-range rocket stored in a house. The IDF explained that the rocket, mounted on a hydraulic system, was aimed at Israeli civilian areas and ready for immediate launch.

"This rocket is just one of 1,300 targets, including long-range cruise missiles, heavy-weight rockets, and UAVs, that we struck today in Lebanon," the IDF statement read. "These weapons were intended to inflict significant damage across Israel."

The video also showed images of long-range rockets hidden inside attics of civilian homes in southern Lebanese villages. The IDF's revelation has raised international concerns over Hezbollah’s continued use of civilians and residential areas to shield its military assets, further escalating tensions in the region.
