Several from Guj in list of top global scientists

Ahmedabad: Several scientists and academicians from Gujarat have been included in the global 2% list of scientists released annually by Stanford University and Elsevier.
From the Central University of Gujarat, vice chancellor Rama Shanker Dubey (botany) and three faculty members — Dinesh Kumar, Pallavi Sharma, and Hitesh Kulhari — were named in the list.
The annual list of top scientists, compiled by Stanford, is based on standardized indicators such as citation data, h-index, co-authorship, and a composite metric.
From IIPH Gandhinagar, Dileep Mavalankar, its director Deepak Saxena, and faculty Dr Mahaveer Golechha were included in the list. Some other academicians on the list include V R Ravipudi and Suban Sahoo from SVNIT Surat; Sudeep Tanwar, Ankit Thakkar, Pradeep Kautish from Nirma University, and Bhavanath Jha from CSMCRI.
