Tambaram Corporation conducts marathon to promote cleanliness drive

CHENNAI: More than 400 students and residents participated in a 5km marathon conducted by Tambaram Corporation on Monday to raise awareness about the Swachatta Hi Seva cleanliness drive.
Director of municipal administration S Sivarasu flagged off the marathon from the MIT campus in Chromepet. It concluded on the Velachery Main Road.
Pallavaram MLA E Karunanidhi and corporation deputy mayor G Kamaraj awarded trophies and certificates to participants.
After the marathon, Sivarasu planted saplings in East Tambaram’s Bharatmatha Street and unveiled a new surveillance camera as part of the Swachatta Hi Seva campaign.
