Cong: AAP lies exposed, we will form next govt

New Delhi: Delhi Congress on Tuesday said it would form the govt in Delhi in 2025 and that Arvind Kejriwal's "lies and gimmicks" had been exposed.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav said: "Atishi should rise to the occasion to solve the problems of the people, as it has become a habit with AAP to politicise everything, without doing any work."
He said Delhi had a very strong woman CM in Sheila Dikshit when Congress was in power, and she carried out unprecedented development work.However, Kejriwal govt turned the clock back by several years and ruined the infrastructure through neglect and misgovernance in the past 12 years.
He said Atishi had become CM for just three months and she couldn't sideline the problems of the people as attacks on women had increased and Delhi had become the "Rape Capital" of the country.
Yadav said that whenever he lost an election, Kejriwal had the habit of creating a fresh narrative, like when he claimed that he was being branded as a "terrorist", but people would not believe his lies and gimmicks anymore.
Former Delhi minister and Congress legislative party leader Haroon Yusuf said that for the past three days, a narrative was being created to equate Kejriwal, who went to jail on corruption charges, with Lord Ram to mislead the people, in a bid to hide his corruption in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.
"Kejriwal, who came to politics driving a Wagon R, wearing an oversized shirt and slippers, is now travelling in a Rs 50 lakh vehicle, with four vehicles for security, and lives in a palatial official bungalow built at the expense of the taxpayers' money. Kejriwal professes honesty and integrity, which was a betrayal of the people of Delhi," said Yusuf.
He said AAP had been in power in MCD for the past two years, but sanitation in the capital had become a terrible casualty.
"Due to the incompetence of Kejriwal govt, people faced unprecedented agony. People of Delhi will not believe the lies of Kejriwal anymore as he has been corruption-ridden, empty rhetoric without doing anything for the people."
