Hyderabad: Hyderabad police on Tuesday issued orders allowing eateries like hotels, restaurants, dhabas, ice cream parlours, bakeries, tiffin centres, coffee shops, tea stalls, pan shops, etc., in GHMC limits to be kept open till 1am every day. A notification to this effect was issued by Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand under the Hyderabad City Police Act.
The order comes as a major relief to eateries.
The latest order, however, did not make any changes to the functioning of wine shops, bars, and pubs in the city. The order applies to all eateries falling under GHMC limits and a five-km periphery of the civic body.
Meanwhile, all DCPs, ACPs, and SHOs were also instructed to ensure compliance with the order and take strict action in case of any violations. Earlier in Aug, chief minister A Revanth Reddy had announced in the assembly that eateries would be allowed to operate till 1am every day. In continuation of the announcement, police issued orders on Tuesday.
