Mala Bodol preview: From matchmaker to divorce-stopper, Diti goes loggerheads with Kabyo

‘Mala Bodol’ is bringing fresh content with a punch of comedy and laughter to the viewers. The Biswajit Ghosh and Ritu Pyne starrer Bengali serial is making its way to the hearts of the audience with its light-hearted story and entertainment quotient. As per the current track of the story, Diti has turned into a divorce-stopper from a matchmaker.
After Diti and Kabyo tied the knot, Diti arrived in the Mallick household as the daughter-in-law of Gobindo Mallick.Kabyo’s mother, Bhabani Mallick was initially sceptical to accept Diti as her daughter-in-law. However, with time, she softened her resolve. Diti was bestowed with the responsibility of several Pujas and occasions at the Mallick residence and she fared well in all those tests. Most of the members of the Mallick family became fond of Diti, and Diti nurtured affection for the family as well. However, as Kabyo was yet to accept Diti as his wife, Diti decided to leave the Mallick residence but in vain. Every time Diti tried to leave, Thammi stopped her with one excuse or another. On the other hand, Diti decided to resume her matchmaking business once again. She set out of the Mallick residence with her skill set of matchmaking as armour. However, Bhabani declared that no women of the Mallick family had ever worked outside and Diti would not be an exception. Kabyo, too, barred Diti from continuing her job of matchmaking.

When Diti was barred from being a matchmaker, she found a new way to keep her occupied. She became a divorce-stopper. As Kabyo barred Diti from doing her job, Diti planned to treat Kabyo to the taste of his own medicine. As Kabyo was set to break marriage by finalising their divorces, Diti turned into a problem-solver to stop those divorces from happening.
Will these two loggerheads ever be able to navigate their way to each other? ‘Mala Bodol’ revolves around the journey of the lead pair – one of them is a matchmaker, and the other person is a divorce lawyer. 'Malabodol' narrates the story of Ditipriya Ghatak, affectionately known as Diti, played by Ritu Pyne. Diti is a lively, passionate matchmaker for whom matchmaking is a deeply personal passion, a legacy inherited from her renowned matchmaker father. Embracing her role as the beloved 'Ghatok Didi,' Diti's life takes a dramatic turn when she is compelled to marry divorce lawyer Kabyo Mallick, portrayed by Biswajit Ghosh. Kabyo's scepticism towards relationships starkly contrasts with Diti's unwavering belief in love, leading to an unexpected and loveless marriage that complicates her journey. Will Diti be able to navigate these complexities and find her perfect match?
‘Mala Bodol’ stars Biswajit Ghosh as the male protagonist. Biswajit was last seen on ‘Khelna Bari’ opposite Aratrika Maity. On the other hand, Ritu Pyne will be seen as the female protagonist of the show. This is Ritu’s first gig in a lead role.
