Three held with brown sugar worth Rs3.5L

Indore: Azad Nagar police on Friday arrested three persons and recovered illegal brown sugar worth Rs 3.5 lakh from them under operation Eagle Claw.
Azad Nagar police said that they had received a tip-off that three suspects were roaming around near New RTO road attempting to sell drugs. Acting on this information, a team was sent to the spot.
When police checked them, 34.87 gram of brown sugar were recovered from a brown jute bag on their bike.Police said 50-year-old Jagdish alias Pandit Bakoriya, resident of Musakhedi, 29-year-old Vikas alias Golu Yadav, resident of Mitrabandhu Nagar, and 34-year-old Lakhan Holkar, resident of Kanadia, were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
Police seized the brown sugar worth Rs 3.5 lakh from the possession of the accused. The bike used to commit the crime was also seized from them.
