Raids find leopard skin, pangolin parts
Jaipur/Kota: In a series of raids conducted across the state over the past week, forest department officials have seized a large quantity of animal body parts, dealing a significant blow to wildlife smugglers.
The crackdown culminated on Thursday with a notable seizure in Kota city and surrounding areas of Gumanpura. More than 100 body parts of various wildlife species were confiscated from smugglers, who face charges under multiple sections of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.

Among the recovered items were the skin and head of a leopard, pangolin parts, chinkara organs, and jackal remains. Officials said that the seizures included 30 to 40 pangolin parts, eight musk pods (Kasthuri) from chinkara, as well as bones, antlers, and organs from jackals and cats.
In another operation in Jodhpur, Wildlife Crime Control Bureau recovered several contraband items, including elephant tusks, a panther’s skin, and sambhar antlers.
