Jodhpur: Police arrested five persons on Thursday for robbing an employee of a departmental store of Rs 10 lakh on January 1 when he was going to deposit the cash collected from the stores at different locations from the city into bank.
Swinging into action, police zeroed in on an employee of the store Arjun Prajapt and found through him that the
robbery had been planned by an ex-employee of the store identified as Mukesh Meghwal, who along with five others, had accomplished this crime.
“We have arrested five accused, Arjun Prajapat, Mukesh Meghwal, Harchand Meghwal, Bhagirath Sihag and Bheraram Godara, and are searching for Ram Niwas Meghwal and an aide of his,” said police.
Police recovered Rs 3,20,000 from Sihag and Godara, who had provided support in their Bolero. They were arrested from Nagaur. TNN
