2 rape 16-year-old in Vasai; one arrested

Mumbai: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in Vasai. One of the accused has been arrested.
Police said the girl met the 23-year-old prime accused online last month. On Sept 2, she decided to meet him in Vasai. They went to a lodge where he allegedly raped her. Three days later, he called her to another location in Vasai, where he was accompanied by a friend.Again, the men took her to a lodge and took turns to rape her. The girl returned to her home and later confided in her parents who approached police. A case of gangrape was registered under sections of the Pocso Act.
The prime accused was arrested from his residence. Police said they have seized the friend's mobile phone and have launched a search for him. Police suspect that the men could have video recorded the sexual act to blackmail the girl.
