NAGPUR: In a U-turn after a political storm in
Maharashtra over the Audi Q8 hit-and-run in Nagpur, police are likely to make state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule's son,
Sanket, a co-accused in the case.
Top sources confirmed that police are awaiting the forensic test report on alcohol content in blood samples of Sanket's friends, Arjun Haore and Ronit Chintamwar, before deciding to book him.
Police, however, are still unsure on
legal provisions to be invoked against Sanket, who was not driving the car, but put his friend- who was under the influence of alcohol - behind the wheel.
A section of police officers feels Sanket should be made a co-accused for handing over his car keys to his drunk friend.
