Udaipur: In a crackdown on illegal activities ahead of assembly elections, police in Pratapgarh on Tuesday seized a large consignment of poppy husk, weighing about 33 quintals (3,300 kg). The market value of the poppy husk is estimated to be nearly Rs 5 crore.
Police said they intercepted a truck at a barricade set up in Dhamotar, and found 33 quintals of poppy husk hidden under corn sacks kept in the vehicle.
