Naveen guarantee to make Odisha No 1 state: BJD
BHUBANESWAR: BJD on Saturday said chief minister Naveen Patnaik will make Odisha a number one state by 2034, two years before the state completes 100 years of its formation on linguistic basis.
BJD national spokesperson and ruling party’s manifesto committee convenor Amar Patnaik while addressing a press conference here said Naveen’s 24 guarantees mentioned in the election manifesto is the best among manifestos of other parties. Naveen guarantee is above all other guarantees, he added.
“By 2034, we would have been performing very well in all development indicators. Free electricity to farmers upto 100 units, BSKY Nabin card for everyone, houses for middle class families, guarantee for food, health, power and transportation and allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore for Youth Budget in 10 years will change the fate of people,” said this former MP.
Rajya Sabha member Sulata Deo said the manifesto has guaranteed pension and interest free loan upto Rs 15 lakh to Mission Shakti members. “Our govt will focus on development of sports, rural development, food safety and preservation and promotion of Odia language and culture,” she added.
Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra discussed Naveen guarantee for tribals, dalits, minorities and backward caste communities. “The manifesto has mentioned the solution towards reducing regional disparities,” he added.

He said their manifesto has given space to every sector. It has mentioned an enhanced amount of Nua-O scholarship for students, support to farmers, welfare of labourers, better communication facilities, economic growth, development of infrastructure and big urban clusters.
