A YouTuber has been arrested in
Uttar Pradesh after a video of him spraying shaving foam on the face of an elderly man went viral. The prank video, which was widely condemned on social media, sparked outrage among netizens and authorities alike.

The incident occurred in Lucknow, where the YouTuber, Vinay Yadav, approached an elderly man on the street and sprayed shaving foam on his face.
The man, visibly shocked and distressed, was left struggling to remove the foam from his eyes and face.
The YouTuber recorded the entire incident and uploaded it to his channel, where it quickly gained traction. However, the video was met with a wave of criticism, with many viewers calling the prank cruel.
What the police said
Local police, acting on complaints from concerned citizens, launched an investigation into the incident. After identifying the YouTuber, they arrested him on charges of public nuisance and causing mental anguish to the elderly man. "We took cognisance of the video showing foam being sprayed on an elderly man's face on a road. Nawabad police have arrested Vinay Yadav. He claims to be a YouTuber. Appropriate action will be taken against him," the
Jhansi police said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing videos of the Youtuber under arrest.
One of the videos shows Yadav limping as he is led out of the police station. Additionally, a photo depicts him with his hands folded behind bars while in the police station.
This is not the first instance of a YouTuber being arrested for creating such harmful content. Last month, a Hyderabad-based influencer was arrested for recklessly throwing cash out of a moving vehicle in Kukatpally, causing chaos. He was charged with public nuisance, reckless driving, and obstructing traffic.
