Sony launches Bravia Theatre U neckband speaker: Price in India, specifications and more

Sony India has launched the Bravia Theatre U neckband speaker aimed at offering cinematic experience without users having to worry about the surroundings. The speaker supports Dolby Atmos experience and offers a personal 360 Spatial Sound when paired with a compatible Bravia TV.

The Bravia Theatre U is available across all Sony Centers, Sony authorised dealers, ecommerce websites (Amazon and Flipkart) and major electronic stores across India at a price of Rs 24,990.

As per Sony, the Bravia Theatre U neckband speaker creates a user’s own spatial sound field for atmospheric listening. It gets the X-Balanced Speaker Unit for cinema-quality audio and users can connect two BRAVIA Theatre U speakers to a single TV or other devices using the Speaker Add function.
Sony says that the Bravia Theatre U is designed for extended movie-watching sessions and it stays relaxed on users’ shoulders with cushioned materials. Sony says that the speaker comes with an AI-based noise reduction algorithm utilising Precise Voice Pickup Technology to deliver clear calls “across a variety of different environments”. It says that the advanced microphones and noise-cancellation algorithms isolate the speaker’s voice from background sounds for clear communication.
The multipoint connection in Bravia Theatre U allows users to connect and switch between two devices simultaneously. The speaker is claimed to offer 12-hour battery life and comes with a quick charge feature that is said to offer an extra hour of playtime with 10 minutes of charge. The speaker comes with IPX4 water resistance rating against accidental splashes and spills.
