‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni’ fame Diya Chakraborty joins the cast of ‘Kaalratri’

Diya Chakraborty has bagged a new project and bracing herself to prepare for the same. The well-known face on Bengali television is embarking on a new chapter in her life with the new project. Diya is all set to feature in the upcoming web series ‘Kaalratri’. The Bnegali actress took to social media to reveal her association with the series sharing a snap of her script.She captioned the picture as, “New beginnings.”

Rupanjana Mitra is gearing up to become Indrani. The well-known Tollywood actress, who navigates smoothly between big screen and small screen – is currently preparing for her OTT project. The actress will be featuring in an upcoming web series ‘Kaalratri’. The first look of Rupanjana’s character, Indrani is out now.
‘Kaalratri’, helmed by Ayan Chakraborty stars ‘Mithai’ fame Soumitrisha Kundu as the lead female protagonist of the project. Soumitrisha will be seen portraying the character of Devi in the series. As per the storyline of the series, Devi receives an ominous prediction on the day of her marriage from her close friend Maya. Maya’s prophecy about the former’s husband creates an eerie atmosphere in the midst of festivities. Following this, Devi is drawn towards a circle of uncertainties and unravelling secrets. In her first look, Soumitrisha is seen wearing a red bridal saree. Her hair is a little unkempt, and her makeup and jewellery giving her a spectacular aura.

Apart from Soumitrisha and Diya, Rupanjana Mitra, Indrasish Ray, Rajdeep Gupta, Sairity Banerjee and Anujoy Chattopadhyay will be seen in pivotal roles in ‘Kaalratri’. Rupanjana, who has already started prepping for her role, shared a few snippets of her look as Indrani on social media where she is seen as a quintessential Bengali woman. Rupanjana donned a gorgeous red and white saree in a traditional Bengali draping, tied her hair in a loose bun and sported a big red bindi for her look. Rupanjana was seen wearing a long gold chain that accented her look. Rupanjana shared her look for Indrani, writing, “Behind every performance is hours of hard work, dedication, and belief. Trust the process.”
‘Kaalratri’, a thrilling murder mystery, is set to be directed by ‘Nikhoj’ fame director Ayan Chakraborti. After a successful first season, ‘Nikhoj’ too is set to come back with the second season. The show is expected to premiere later this year.
