In an exclusive interview, Mera Balam Thanedaar actress Shruti Choudhary opened up about her battle with dengue and the painful recovery process. She shared that during her illness, she frequently broke down in tears due to the discomfort caused by drips and IV injections, which were very painful. Despite the challenges, Shruti is now on the path to recovery and expressed gratitude for all the messages and love that came her way.
Talking about her recovery from Dengue, Shruti says, "When I fell ill it actually affected everyone as I am the lead of the show and I’m required for the scenes.
Health issues are such a thing that it is beyond anyone’s control. No matter how much ever you try to take care of yourself, you can fall ill. But in our industry there’s a saying the show must go on, even though I was unwell I was giving my close ups shots. Main bimar thi and I was just waiting for when I will recover. My parents were giving such bland food to eat. I used to hate them but I had all of them sincerely as I wanted to get well soon and return to the sets. It is my responsibility as well. If I’m given the responsibility of being the lead of the show, it is my duty to do full justice to it. After falling ill, Maine bahut sikha hai. It's good that people are loving you for playing Bulbul but it is your responsibility now to take care of yourself. My father is the one who keeps telling me all these things. He keeps telling me that it is part of my job to take care of myself and be healthy."
Shruti also spoke about the overwhelming love and support she received from her fans and well-wishers during her illness. "Firstly I did not expect that so many people would message me and send their prayers. I was overwhelmed. When you unwell along with medicines you need people’s love and care. I was feeling very weak, emotionally also. When I was unwell, I kept on crying because I had drips, IV injections. It was very painful and I had no phone for three days at that time. But after three days when I got my phone, I could see all those messages and people praying for me. It gave me a lot of strength and I felt so nice. It is because of their prayers that I’ve recovered so fast and am sitting here on the sets. I still have weakness in my body and I would like to tell people to just pray for me and everyone working on the set," she shared.
The actress also revealed an upcoming major twist in Mera Balam Thanedaar, where the biggest highpoint will be the revelation of her character's true age. The storyline will unveil that she is actually underage, a secret that has been hidden until now. "We are all set to witness the biggest high point on the show and we are a little nervous also about it. We are trying our best to entertain the audience. The upcoming track is the biggest highlight. I want to request everyone to watch the upcoming episodes. There will be a few changes now because Bulbul, who has always managed the situation about her age being below 18, is out now. Uska sabse bada sach bahar aagaya hai and it will be her journey to get back all the love and respect that she got from her family and husband Veer back. Joh kuch usse cheen Gaya hai because of this truth coming out, she is going to get everything back. How will she win back the trust of her Thanedaar sa and her family. How will reinstate the respect that the family had in the society," said Shruti.
