Nausheen Ali Sardar faced a personal tragedy on September 16, the same day her TV show Vasudha launched. Her eldest brother, aged 48, passed away due to a heart attack. However, due to a no-mobile policy on set, she only received the heart-breaking news four hours later, after wrapping up for the day.
A unit hand informed us, “Nausheen was devastated when she found out about her brother’s passing.
She immediately rushed home. She has been very close to her siblings, and it will take time for her to process the loss. Right now, she is also taking care of her mother and sister-in-law, who are deeply affected by this tragedy.”
Despite the overwhelming grief, Nausheen, known for her professionalism, returned to the set and resumed shooting just a day later.
Shaleen Malhotra: I don't know a thing about Makeup, the professionals handle it
In an earlier interview, while discussing her decision to take on Vasudha, she shared, “I’m thrilled to be part of this show because, after a long time, I’m playing a character completely different from anything I’ve done before. My role, Chandrika Singh Chauhan, is the head of the household, and the story focuses on how this strong, independent woman’s life intersects with that of a young, innocent girl. What drew me to the project was both the story and the character, as well as producer
Arvind Babbal, who is incredibly creative and humble with his team. I was touched by how Babbalji worked with his team, teaching and guiding them with dedication. He’s as hardworking as anyone on set, and I’m enjoying the process of working with such a creative team.”
She added, “Even though I’ve been in the industry for two decades, I’m very selective about the roles I take on. I don’t just choose projects to keep things going. I do it because of my passion for the craft, and I hope my role in Vasudha resonates with the audience.”
