Donald Trump narrowly escaped a second assassination attempt on Sunday at Florida triggering several conspiracy theories. Tesla chief Elon Musk was at the forefront of these with his now-deleted post: "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala." The post was deleted after he faced flak for insinuating such attempts for President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Far right activist Laura Loomer who was in news for her proximity to Trump also put forward her theory going by which the US government knew about Ryan Routh, the suspected shooter.
Laura Loomer said Ryan Routh served in the US foreign legion in Ukraine which is reportedly tied to the CIA. She said New York Times and NewsWeek interviewed him and published his profile. "So the US government knew this guy was doing illegal mercenary work and they never stopped him. Even worse, the anti-Trump Leftist media wrote glowing profiles about him and gave him a platform."
"Ryan Routh's cell phone number traces back to Fight for Ukraine which has been accused of being a terrorist organization, focused on recruiting mercenaries to fight in Ukraine for the sake of killing Russian soldiers," Laura wrote.
Conservative political analyst Charlie Kirk shared a screenshot of Ryan Routh's social media activities and posted: "What are the odds that this shooter, who spent months fighting in Ukraine, has zero links to anyone in US military or intelligence circles? Find them."
"Can you imagine if, God forbid, it was Kamala Harris who just survived her second assassination attempt? The press right NOW would be calling any tweet critical of Democrats "stochastic terrorism" followed by mass arrests for "hate crimes." The First Amendment would be over as we know it and Trump would be the subject of further indictments for "inciting violence." Pray for peace. Pray for justice. Pray for victory," Kirk posted.
