Trademark filings suggest that the new midsize model from Lucid could be named "Earth," with other potential names including Earth Dream Edition, Cross Air, Air Cross, and Airspace. Additionally, Lucid’s first electric SUV, the Gravity, is set to launch in 2025, featuring a NACS port and entering production later this year.
As per reports, this upcoming SUV aims to compete in the growing US market for electric SUVs and crossovers, directly challenging Tesla’s Model Y. Lucid is also working on another vehicle that is expected to rival Tesla’s Model 3.
At present, Lucid’s only available model is the high-end Air. The company, which faces financial difficulties but is supported by its majority Saudi investors, has managed to increase vehicle deliveries this year, surpassing the total number delivered in all of 2023.
