Ahmedabad: The
India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on Saturday that conditions are favourable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from parts of west Rajasthan and Kutch around Sep 23.
However, heavy rainfall is anticipated in southern Gujarat from Sep 25, lasting for a couple of days. So far this season, the state has recorded 24% excess rainfall compared to the normal average.
The forecast indicates partially cloudy weather for Ahmedabad and surrounding districts on Sunday.
On Saturday, the city's maximum temperature reached 35.3 degrees celsius, 1.3 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was also elevated at 26.8 degrees, 1.8 degrees higher than usual.
According to the forecast, Parts of Navsari and Valsad are expected to experience significant rainfall from Sep 25 to 27.
