Ajmer: Ajmer range police on Monday announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for the arrest of two accused in Roopangarh firing incident. Different teams have begun their search at various places. Meanwhile, the deceased’s family, staged a protest at JLN hospital and refused post-mortem of the deceased. The district administration later assured compensation to the family as per the process.
The doctors conducted autopsy on Monday afternoon. Roopangarh witnessed cross firing between two groups of land mafia on Sunday, resulting in the death of Shakeel Sheikh, a labourer. Shakeel’s family reached Ajmer to protest. Additional district collector Gajendra Singh Rathore talked to the aggrieved party. After some hours, a written agreement was given to Shakeel’s family that they would get compensation as per norms. TNN
