NEW DELHI: Seven people died and three were injured on Tuesday when a truck collided with an auto rickshaw in Madhya Pradesh's Katni district, police said according to news agency PTI.

Earlier on Wednesday, a collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw on the Sihora-Majhgawan road in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur claimed the lives of at least 7 people, including 4 men and 3 women.

The accident also left 10 people injured, with 6 men and 4 women among them. The injured were immediately transported to a nearby primary health centre in Sihora for medical treatment.
Sihora MLA Santosh Singh Badkare rushed to the accident site accompanied by police personnel and officials from the local administration to assess the situation firsthand. Financial assistance had been sanctioned to support the families of both the deceased and the injured in the accident.
