TIRUPATI:
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams conducted an enquiry into a
Tamil Nadu based devotee's complaint over poor amenities, delay in providing food, milk and water to the pilgrims waiting in the queue lines and found out that these accusations were baseless in nature.
It may be recalled that a Tamil Nadu devotee who was in the queue lines with his family for a
darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the hill temple on September 16, made this complaint to the state endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who came for darshan on the same day, and further alleged that it was also taking almost 2-3 days for completing the darshan.
The
TTD administration, which took a serious note of the accusations, lodged an enquiry and analysed all available CCTV footage, to ascertain the facts in the devotee's complaint.
TTD administration, was startled to find out that the complainant's family availed all amenities provided by the Tirupati trust multiple times during their stay for a few hours in the queue lines.
Speaking to reporters at Tirumala, TTD EO J Syamala Rao clarified that the Tamil Nadu devotee's complaint was completely baseless. "We have tracked the complainant's movements in the queue lines, right from the moment they entered the lines. CCTV footage clearly shows that this particular group of devotees were provided with free food and other amenities while they were in the queue lines. Also, it is not true that pilgrims had to spend 2-3 days to complete their darshan", Syamala Rao clarified.
Pointing out that there was an unprecedented influx of devotees especially with the onset of the Purattasi month, which is considered very auspicious to worship Lord Venkateswara Swamy by the Tamil Nadu devotees, the TTD administration has directed all the heads of the department to closely monitor the queue lines and ensure provision of all amenities to the devotees in the queue lines round the clock.
