In Bareilly's Shishgarh, a 14-year-old boy was beaten to death after he confronted a man for making obscene remarks about his sister. The accused, Afghan Jalil, and his three brothers attacked the boy who later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. BAREILLY: A 14-year-old boy was beaten to death in Bareilly's Shishgarh on Sunday after he confronted a man for passing obscene remarks about his sister.
Based on a complaint by the boy's uncle, an FIR was lodged against accused Afghan Jalil (21) and his three brothers, including two minors (aged 14 and 17) under BNS section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).

In the police complaint, the uncle said his nephew had gone to the market when Afghan passed objectionable remarks about his sister.
When the boy opposed, Afghan called his 3 brothers and started thrashing him in the middle of the road, leaving the boy grievously injured. He was then taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim's uncle said, "There have been similar complaints against the accused in the past."
Circle officer Arun Kumar said, "We received a distress call informing us that a few children were fighting. Police rushed to the spot and found that a minor boy was thrashed by four people. The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries. The body was sent for autopsy on Monday. The two minor accused are being questioned while the other two are at large."
