ATM theft bid by masked men foiled in Ayodhya Ngr
Bhopal: Three miscreants allegedly attempted to steal from an ATM in Ayodhya Nagar by trying to dismantle it using a pickaxe past midnight on Saturday. Failing to crack it open, the suspects fled the scene. Police said they scanned CCTV footage of the ATM and are now searching for them based on their appearance.
SHO Ayodhya Nagar Mahesh Lilhare said that the ATM is located near Narela Jod in the locality.

Around 1:30am on Saturday, the three accused entered the booth carrying a pickaxe, with their faces covered. Two of them tried to pry open the ATM using the tool, while the third stood by, talking on his phone.
During the attempted theft, a Dial-100 FRV passed by with its siren on, causing the men to hide behind a nearby car. The vehicle moved ahead but soon returned, preventing the miscreants from making another attempt.
When the bank manager learned of the incident in the morning, he reported the attempted theft to the police. A case was registered at Ayodhya Nagar police station on Saturday and a search was on to nab the accused. TNN
